How to Save on Car Fuel Costs
Alternative Fuels To The Rescue
It’s obvious that governments, and the auto and oil industries all see the writing on the wall. Because OPEC controls the price of oil, we are at their mercy. What we are seeing is a concerted effort to significantly increase the research and development of alternative fuels.
Hydrogen, ethanol, methanol, hybrid cars, electric vehicles and even biomass technologies are being promoted by the U.S. government. In fact, new fiscal incentives to small and big business are getting researchers excited again. Unfortunately it will be several years before a commercially viable alternative fuel source(s) will replace foreign oil.
What Can We Do Now To Save Money On Fuel?
The effect of oil prices has caused a rise in the price of everything from groceries to non-perishables and any product that has to be transported. So is there anything you can do to save money in the meantime? The answer is Yes.
Hybrid or Electric Cars
One option is to purchase a new hybrid or electric car. The advantages are obvious, saving gas while saving the environment. But there are disadvantages, they include: the high sticker price, a waiting list to get one, lack of refueling stations and the driving limitation of the electric car before a “re-charge” is needed.
Tune-up, Tire PSI and Excess Weight
Another option is to tune up your car, maintain manufacturers suggested air pressure in your tires and to remove extra weight from your trunk.
Save Gasoline By Burning Water
Finally, there is an option that fits between the two discussed above. You can save gasoline by burning water. WHAT?
It’s true, there is an old technology called Brown’s gas that converts water into Hydrogen gas (HHO) but with the historically low prices for petroleum, the technology was not economically viable. But now that prices of gas have skyrocketed, many in America are using the technology to convert their automobile to burn water.
In a nutshell, the technology works by adding a fuel cell to your car engine; something you can do yourself. This addition converts water to HHO which then generates energy to significantly increase the miles you currently get on a gallon of gas. It doesn’t replace gas as your fuel but it makes the internal combustion process more efficient.
Yes you can save gasoline by burning water. In fact, you can double or even triple the efficiency by converting your car to burn water.
